Dreams do come true...in Dubai, where Vikram Chatwal's Dream Hotels will open in late 2014. But this won't be some regular old hotel on a city block. No, this is Dubai, where everything is done not just bigger and better, but biggest and bestest.

So in following that logic, the Dream Dubai will be housed in the Marina 101, which is on track to be one of the largest super towers in Dubai and which will make the Dream Hotel the tallest hotel tower in the world when it opens. (Sorry, JDubs. You've got competition.)

The Dream Dubai will have 300 hotel rooms along with 420 branded and serviced apartments, all managed by Hampshire Hotels in conjunction with the Wyndham Hotel Group. (Remember, back in 2011, the two hotel brands partnered up to make expansion such as this possible.) But none of this would be possible without the developers who had the courage to um, dream big.

“It is through The Chairman, Sheffield Holdings LTD, Mr. Abu Ali Malik Shroff’s unique insight and vision of creating an iconic project in the heart of Dubai that this Dream will become reality.” Said Hampshire Chairman Sant Singh Chatwal, “He had the vision to create it and the fortitude to weather the storm of 2009 and 2010. I am very excited to call him a partner.”

The hotel will also have six restaurants and lounges, multiple retail shops, two pools and two spas (one for the hotel guests, and one for the residents), men's and women's gymnasiums with squash courts and a nightclub that will occupy the 101st floor.

Now we better start dreaming of ways to make some money to get ourselves into the Dream Dubai next year.
